WHAT IS URC-PA?
The URC-PA poster Conference is an educational event allowing the undergraduate students enrolled in Pennsylvania’s colleges and universities to showcase their research talents to the Commonwealth’s key decision-makers. All fields of research are encouraged. As a participant, you will spend the day in the Pennsylvania Capitol Building, share experiences and ideas with your counterparts from other schools, and enlighten your state legislators on the topics that are important to you and our society. When possible, a visit to either the Senate or House Chamber is part of the day’s events.
WHEN IS THE URC-PA POSTER CONFERENCE?
The 15th Annual URC - PA will take place on Tuesday, April 25, 2017.

New for 2017! The mission of the event remains focused on the interaction with legislators, we are adding a new element in 2017. For the first time, participants will have the option of being reviewed by a panel of judges to compete for special awards. You will have the option to participate in the judging portion of the event. Additional information regarding the judging criteria is available here. We look forward to adding this new dimension to the event, which stems from the request of past participants.
WHERE IS THE URC-PA POSTER CONFERENCE?
The event is held in the East Wing Rotunda located in the Capitol Complex, Harrisburg. The registration desk is located in the East Wing Rotunda, opposite the Capitol Shop.
Please note: Although the Capitol is a public building, all visitors must pass through the security inspection including metal detectors. All bags and packages will be x-rayed, and are subject to hand inspection. Personal items may be hand-inspected. Please allow extra time for the security screening.
An email will be sent to academic officers/advisors of all colleges and universities within the Commonwealth announcing the date of the event and the information for registration. Since the selection process may vary at each school, interested students should check with their institution to determine if there is an internal process for participation.
