CONTACT YOUR REPRESENTATIVE AND SENATOR

The mission of the Undergraduate Research at the Capitol of Pennsylvania involves students engaging members of the Pennsylvania House and Senate. Students are encouraged to contact their State Representative and Senator to arrange a meeting.

Here is a sample letter for contacting your representative or senator:

To identify your representative and senator, follow these instructions:

• Go to the web page of the PA General Assembly at: www.legis.state.pa.us
  
  

• In the upper right corner, enter your zip code and click on "Go."
  
  

• If the five-digit zip code isn't sufficient to identify your Senator and Representative, there will be a link to the USPS site that allows you to determine your nine-digit zip.
  
  

• Return to the previous page and enter the entire zip code and repeat the search.
  
  

• Click on the names of your representatives. This will take you to their web sites with photos. Know what your representatives look like so you'll be ready to meet them!
