Subject: Proposed Resolution-A Resolution Designating the Week of April 8 through April 13, 2013, as "Community Banking Week" in Pennsylvania
 
As you know, more than 200 Community Banks in Pennsylvania have provided the local support that Commonwealth communities need to prosper and grow through their 1,300 local banking offices.

With more than $90 billion in assets, these banks have made significant contributions to the economic well-being of the Commonwealth through their financial support, their dedication as good neighbors and, above all, their service as financially sound and reliable sources of economic lifeblood in our communities.

In the near future, I will be introducing a resolution recognizing "Community Banking Week" in Pennsylvania, recognizing the strong tradition of our community banks in Pennsylvania, as they partner with local citizens and businesses in the development of our communities.
