Subject: Strengthening the Regulatory Review Act
 
In the near future, I will be re-introducing legislation to ensure greater checks-and-balances in our regulatory process. This legislation will give the General Assembly the authority to initiate the repeal of any regulation currently in effect by concurrent resolution. Under current law, the General Assembly has the authority to block the implementation of a regulation before it takes effect. This legislation will merely extend this process to regulations already in effect.

This bill moved through the House last session as HB 950 and the 2019-2020 session as HB 430. Please join me in cosponsoring this legislation.
