AN ACT
Amending Title 35 (Health and Safety) of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes, providing for COVID-19 vaccine
distribution.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Title 35 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
Statutes is amended by adding a chapter to read:

COVID-19 VACCINE DISTRIBUTION

5901. Scope of chapter.
5902. Definitions.
5903. Administration of vaccines.
5904. Expiration.
§ 5901. Scope of chapter.
This chapter provides for the administration of COVID-19
vaccine by eligible healthcare providers.
§ 5902. Definitions.

The following words and phrases when used in this chapter
shall have the meanings given to them in this section unless the
context clearly indicates otherwise:
"COVID-19 disaster emergency." As defined in section 5701
(relating to definitions).
"Eligible healthcare providers." The term includes nurse
aides, licensed practical nurses, pharmacy technicians, pharmacy
students, nursing students, emergency medical technicians,
certified medical first responders, dentists, dental hygienists,
dental students, medical school students and veterinarians.
§ 5903. Administration of vaccines.
For the purposes of providing COVID-19-approved vaccines
during the COVID-19 disaster emergency, eligible healthcare
providers who receive training in COVID-19-approved vaccines
shall be authorized to administer the vaccines.
§ 5904. Expiration.
This chapter shall expire upon the cessation of the COVID-19
disaster emergency.
Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
